I'm glad that I know now :)

Luisa - I love those DK books too, as does E :)

Library Mice - My husband is the same way, he doesn't care much for fiction books (can't say he cares much for non-fiction books either) I thought all little boys liked trains? :)

Vivienne - Good luck to you with your girls!

Jessica - I never had much experience in the non-fiction section? Was never really my thing! I guess which is why I didn't think of it sooner with my son :)Michelle Fluttering Butterflieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08793681725475475156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21582709.post-87512773807347642722010-11-04T21:22:14.801+00:002010-11-04T21:22:14.801+00:00I used to love the non-fiction section when I was ...I used to love the non-fiction section when I was a kid, anything to do with animals and then anything about Ghosts when I got older. Those sections are quite good!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08861424110678889637noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21582709.post-81559209630098290862010-11-04T20:11:16.861+00:002010-11-04T20:11:16.861+00:00That is such a lovely post. My husband still struggles with stamina to read a novel and yet can spend a whole evening reading and researching Ancient China for his lessons.

My son refuses to go to the library (as a librarian, I weep at this) because he wants to OWN his books! But then if I am being 100% with myself, I was the same at his age (I still am now!). So his enjoying non-fiction is a costly business!
He was never into trains however so it is good to see books reviewed that we would never usually see at home. Partly because they like immediate gratification and want a reward now. A quick fun fact rather than waging a war through a long novel. I guess I share your Eldest's need to know how things work at least in terms of space, the universe etc. Great post!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14379159908572573355noreply@blogger.com
