Giveaway: Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Are you enjoying Love month so far? You should by now have read Jo from Once Upon A Bookcase's amazing guest post on her thoughts and response to Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Delirium is an amazing book and I feel like it's very representative of what this month is about. Lauren Oliver writes so beautifully about a world where love is a disease and is looked at as something undesireable. Here now, is your chance to win your very own copy of this gorgeous book. Thank you to the lovely, lovely people at Hodder, I have a hardback copy with YOUR name on it.
Simply fill out the form below with your name and address and finish the sentence, 'Love is...' with what love means to you. I will choose a winner and announce it on the 23rd of February. Good luck to you all.
Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love - the deliria - blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.
But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

Oooh, great contest, Michelle! Even though I have both an ARC and a finished copy, I am tempted to enter! I will restrain myself though. (However, I think the guest post in itself would fit the "Love is.." part, ha!)ReplyDelete
Great contest! I love how we have to answer a question instead of the usual scrambling over each other to get extra entries via tweets, facebook etc.. This way is definitely more in keeping with the feeling of love and actually makes us ponder and think about our answer. Thanks for being awesome :)ReplyDelete
Jo - oh go ahead and enter :) And yes, your guest post definitely did answer the question, and really beautifully too! :) Thank you again.ReplyDelete
The Library Owl - Oh I'm glad you liked the question thing. I was slightly worried that people would think it 'too much' but I really wanted to know how people would answer..
I have read it thank to UK Book Tours but would love a copy for the library :D Thanks for the giveawayReplyDelete
