Properly

OK, so I thought I'd properly update for everyone .. Shadowfalcon said in an email she was looking forward to my moving in anecdotes - you know I don't think I have many, if any. It's been a pretty uneventful few weeks. Or maybe I've just gotten out of the habit of judging what's blogworthy these days and what isn't. I'll tell you what did happen in the last however many weeks it's been - Little Boy grew up. He's walking (not just teetering steps but really long journeys across the dining room and living room, around corners, even sometimes there AND back) and, AND he's speaking. He can officially say 'dada' and 'mama' and by this I mean SEPERATE from the babble. He's got a little cold starting, and I feel bad for him. He's also interacting with other children. I'm now settled enough to visit the local parent and toddler groups - not only did he steal some little girl's toys (TWICE) but he also snatched a toy away from some other little kid who thought Elliot knew how to share. It's been fun. What else? I love my house. I don't always LOVE being in this house so far away from everything, but I do love what it's becoming. We've got a lot of our things out now and curtains up, new lamps and furniture, and I'm dying to put up photos, but also I want to wait until things are more JUST RIGHT. Things are nice now, but I think I'll give it a little while yet anyway. (Plus I don't actually HAVE any photos to post, and I'm too lazy to go downstairs to get the camera because that would mean tidying) I've conquered the bus system, at least to get into the town (perhaps 'village' would be more appropriate) center, and obviously to the library. I didn't read THAT much over the last few weeks, but I did read some, of which I'll probably mention sometime later. Pictures and something more interesting (hopefully) coming your way soon...

  6. It's always fun when they start talking, beyond their usual babble. And walking? That's so exciting!
