'New Classics'

I saw this over at Boston Bibliophile. Apparently, Entertainment Weekly has compiled a list of 'new classics' - the best reads from 1983-2008. It's an interesting mix of books. 2. As I was telling the Boston Bibliophile, I haven't read a ton of these (quite a few, not a ton), but MANY are on my shelves unread. Story of my life!

  3. I have read about 15 on the list and have several others waiting to be read in my TBR room. I will be posting the list tomorrow on my blog. I haven't quite reached the book list in my copy of EW just yet (I'm still on the top 100 TV shows), but I will be curious to read their reasoning on choosing each book.

  4. Very interesting! I'm hosting a classics challenge starting in July and as part of the challenge I'm having the participants compile a list of books they think will be classics one day. http://www.classics2008.blogspot.com

Some of the books overlap but not all of them!
