Bookworms on television and film

(This post was written several years ago for the Nerdfighters website. I thought I had also posted about this topic here, but I did not. I thought today would be the right time to share this with you)

Now I've been an unashamed bookworm my entire life. I've skipped parties and dates to read my book, and sometimes even at parties or dates I've been known to keep a book in my handbag, just in case.  Reading is just a part of who I am, and I'm really bewildered sometimes when it occurs to me that not everyone is as book crazy as I am.

What I love most is when I see other bookworms around.  Meeting bookish people in my real life, talking to bookish people through this blog, on twitter, or via somewhere else entirely really makes my day.  And, because it isn't all books, all the time, I always love seeing bookworms in the movies or on television.  Here are some of my favourites:

Sawyer from Lost

Rory from The Gilmore Girls

Belle from Beauty and the Beast

Matilda

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter

Do you have any favourite bookworms from books, film or TV?

  1. Hermione, Belle and Matilda are my favourites too! I just bought the first season of Gilmore Girls so I'm looking forward to meeting Rory.

    1. Ooh! I LOVE Gilmore Girls! It's one of those shows that I put off watching for AGES and then I kicked myself for waiting so long. I hope you fall in love with it like I did :)
