Before...
...And after.
It's a major change. I'm already regretting it. His wild hair always just seemed to accentuate Elliot's fun personality. When N came home he said he was sad that Elliot's curls are gone. My mother-in-law seems heartbroken. It had to be done. Please tell me that those beautiful curls will grow back.
Very cute!!! But sad. :( But I think it looks nice.
ReplyDeleteaw bless. alot of people feel sad when they cut their lil ones curls off. Elliots hair still seems v.wavey tho so i thin they will come back :) x
ReplyDeleteI think they'll grow again! But he still looks so cute with shorter hair :)
ReplyDeleteHe looks gorgeous, but I still thought "Put it back!" :)
ReplyDeleteKeris - 'put it back' Ha :) I'm just really, really hoping that it will grow out and I can have his curls back. I figure he won't want those curls once he starts school, so I'm going to try to leave them on him for as long as possible.
ReplyDeleteNymeth - I know. They'll grow back, I keep telling myself that. And he does still look cute, I just miss them. It's part of who he is.. oh I'm getting sad again.
Emmie - you think they'll come back? I cut his hair before, but never as short as this.
Amy - thanks. I'm still sad about it. But those curls were getting unruly. And it was too long, the curls were getting lost anyway. But still :(
He is a handsome wee boy, either way and he still looks loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteSuper handsome. It'll grow back before you know it.
ReplyDeleteKatie V - You sound so confident, it must true :)
ReplyDeleteHullaballoo - He is a very fun little boy to be around!
He looks adorable...
ReplyDeleteHe looks great! The curls will be back! My son had them when he was little and then he had fairly short hair up until about 13 and then he (and all his friends) grew out their hair a bit and lo and behold--his big wavy swirls were still there! :)
ReplyDeleteHe still looks adorable, more grown up even. I'm sure his curls will grow back, if you let them.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a change in his appearance! If his hair is truly curly, the curls will come back. Fly has some wild hair too, and I have been thinking about taking him to get his first "real" cut rather than my snips here and there.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest needs a haircut but I just can't stand to do it. He's almost two and I've never cut it yet. He gets mistaken for a girl at least twice a day. It's a really hard decision to make.
ReplyDeleteNatasha - Elliot was two before he had a haircut as well. This is only his second. The first 'haircut' was more of a trim! I understand the waiting!
ReplyDeleteDamselfly - It was the wildness and tangles of his hair that made me decide to get it cut, otherwise I'd have left it.
Becca - yeah, I think he looks more grown up as well. Taller somehow. Weird.
Kaylen - oh, that gives me hope! My dad had really big curls as a boy, but then had his hair short for awhile and now when it grows back it doesn't grow back curly. Odd how that happens.
Tasha - he really is, isn't he? :)
I was in shock when I saw the photos! I knew how much you just loved those curls. Well, I cried the first time I cut off Christopher's curls and you know what's worse they didn't grow back the same.
ReplyDeleteNever fear it will grow back very quickly too!
I do think they'll come back, i know a lil boy who has similar hair and when his mum cut his short for the summer they were back in full fierce-ness by the winter! x
ReplyDeleteOh bless him - he does look cute. His haircut makes him look older.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a grown-up boy now. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI can't even believe how many comments I've gotten on this post!
ReplyDeleteGreenJello and Scrap Girl - I've noticed he looks a lot more grownup since the haircut as well. That makes me feel sad.
Emmie - That's what I like to hear!
Atasha - Yes, I very attached to those curls. Have I mentioned that Joshua's hair is curling? Right over his ears just like Elliot. I'm both happy to see another head of curls and sad for that little boy who will end up with such UNFORTUNATE hair!
OH man! I'd have cried. He's so grown up now. The Pirate has little curls at the nape of his neck, makes me sad every time they go, but they always come back.
