Ooh. Today I have something very special to share with you. Me and several other rather awesome bloggers all have extracts of the upcoming book by Non Pratt, Trouble. Trouble isn't published until March by 2014 but the lovely folk at Walker Books are very excited about this book (as am I!) and want this book to make a big splash. So just to whet your appetite, here is a little bit about Trouble and my extract... AND there's even a chance to win a proof copy for yourself. Just click through to all the extracts!
To find out more about Trouble or Non Pratt, do follow her on Twitter, add to Goodreads, or pre-order/add to wish list on Amazon.
A boy. A girl. A bump. Trouble.
Hannah’s smart and funny ... she’s also fifteen and pregnant. Aaron is new at school and doesn’t want to attract attention. So why does he offer to be the pretend dad to Hannah’s unborn baby?
Growing up can be trouble but that’s how you find out what really matters.
We're late getting to the park, which is a good thing − it's not clever to arrive first unless you're a B-baller or one of their WAGs. I wave away Katie's offer of a cigarette at the gate, but she doesn't move the pack from under my nose.
"Sure? It'll steady your nerves."
"I don't have any nerves," I lie. Katie and I have decided I'm not allowed to go anywhere near Fletch.
"Liar," Katie says, lighting up.
"I'll have one later." I won't be able to say no after a couple more bottles. Never have, never will.
"You can use it to stub out Fletch's boner. That'd work." Katie blows a rubbish attempt at a smoke ring in my face and grins as it mists about me in the cool night air. "Ready?"Katie tugs up her top, arches her back and sticks her chest out − as if she needs to − before going in. I follow.
