Newspaper

I never really read the newspaper before. Not on a regular basis anyway. I always sort of thought I have enough problems to deal with just in my life, I don't have the time to read about the world's problems. And that is such a terrible, terrible way to think. Anyway, I get sent the Independent to my Inbox everyday, and to be honest I usually skip over the major news. I like the quirky better. Anyway, I came across this article about the rising numbers of suicides in Japan, which I thought was quite sad, and there was a quote I wrote down in my notebook - the guy writing the article was talking about the people joining Internet pacts with strangers to meet up and die together, and he said something about their 'electronic umbilical cords of their computers' and that stuck with me.
