7 Things

So, I've been tagged. Here were are, thanks to Diana - Teacher Mom!

7 things I want to do before I die:

* Finish my degree (currently on hold while I work out this mommy thing)
* Be less afraid (generally) take (personal) risks and be completely honest (seems like three things, but I think not)
* Realise what I want to do (professionally) with my life
* Learn how to salsa dance (wouldn’t that be great, thing is I have no rhythm)
* Watch Boy grow up and be happy (not being too damaged by his problem-ridden mother)
* Be less reliant on other people and more confident in myself
* Learn how to cook (and possibly enjoy it)

7 Things I can't do:

* Exercise regulary (even though I look terrible)
* Drive on my own (yet)
* Get enough sleep! (even on Boy’s good nights)
* Walk quickly (apparently)
* Wait patiently (for anything)
* Work out who that guy in the movie was, and where I’d seen him before (without using IMDb.com)
* Think about my mother without crying

7 things that attracted me to my spouse:

* His sense of humour (even when he crosses that line)
* His big brown eyes (very expressive)
* How easily I can talk to him (and how well he listens)
* His perspective on life (he always shows me a different way to see things)
* His kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness (he’s a great father)
* His creativity (and the passion he has in his passing interests)
* His persistence (which is why we’re together in the first place)

7 Things I say often:

* "So, anyway” (said far too often during the day, comes out more when I write in the blog)
* "Oh my god” (I’m not a teenager, I just sound like one)
* "Hey pretty Baby!” (aimed at Boy)
* "I am SO tired” (said to any poor schlub who’ll listen)
* "I love you SO much little Boy” (self-explanatory)
* "I cannot believe you just did that” (Boy again – my life is small)
* "Um, I don’t know – you choose, whatever” (in relation to food usually)

7 Books I love:

* Charlotte’s Web by EB White
* The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner
*The Princess Bride by William Goldman.
* The Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix
* Heidi by Joanna Spyri
* Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery
* The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay

7 Movies I could watch over and over again:

* Wizard of Oz
* Gone With the Wind
* Say Anything
* The Princess Bride
* Radio Flyer
* Beauty and the Beast (or Cinderella, or The Little Mermaid or – well most Disney films)
* Dirty Dancing

7 People who I'm going to tag!

* Whoever would like to take part – feel free.
