This weekend was exactly what I needed. My really good friend Diane came over for a long weekend, and we had a great time catching up and LAUGHING. I think laughing with an old friend is one of the best things ever. I've known her for over 10 years, and she knows all the embarassing things about me (like when I said I'd NEVER get married, and then got married at 18) and it's always nice to have that comfortable friendship where it doesn't matter that we haven't seen each other in years and don't keep in contact as much as we should. We lead separate lives and everything, but nothing is lost when we're together, and I love that. I loved watching her play with Boy and hearing all the latest news. Here's a picture, even though I look like such a dork!
I don't think you look like a dork! :) I'm glad that you had a good time with your friend. Its great when you can get together with them after a long time a part and it feels like there was no seperation!
