You can be the judge!

I absolutely adore blogging. And not just because I can moan on and on about nothing in particular, I love it because of the insight into people. Is that corny or what? Let me explain - I know there's a (modest) amount of people who do look at my blog fairly regularly, and it's been really interesting to note which topics make people comment more than others. Sure, people send their good-wishes when I'm ill (and it's happening more and more these days, grumble) and no one can resist a compliment when I post a picture of Boy (because he's stunning, of course) and for that I really do thank everyone! But apart from that...? It seems to be fish and feet. I'm not making it up - my post earlier about fish drew a few comments for regular lurkers and my number 99, of the 100 things drew yet more comments - on my ugly feet. Well, who am I to argue? You can be the judge now - I believe my feet are really ugly. Not just the toes, but the whole package. I warn you, if you don't like feet, don't look at the rest of this. Here are the pictures:

1) Yes, I did use an ungodly colour of red on my toenails, but calm down - it was the only nail polish I had. I've since gone out and bought a cheap 'oyster pink' (but then realised I had no nail polish remover, damn).
2) Yes, that is hair on my big toes, isn't that a turn-on?
3) I think that could be a wart on my right big toe.
4) Both little toes are a little chubby - I think I broke them (or at least severely bruised them by ramming them (both but on different occasions) accidentally into large bricks (don't ask))
5) Neither picture does justice to the amount of discoloured skin due to scarring, but trust me - I've had plenty of sandal-induced injuries.

(Blogger sucks. I still can't post a picture successfully)

6) Ah, the bottoms of my feet - yep, a nasty blister there under my toes
7) Good god, look at the amount of dry/dead skin there. I don't like wearing socks or shoes.

So, what's the verdict? Are you with me or not?

Kathleen Kelly: [in an email to Joe Fox] The odd thing about this form of communication is that you're more likely to talk about nothing than something. But I just want to say that all this nothing has meant more to me than so many somethings.

  1. The picture of the bottom of your feet didn't show up on my computer. My little toes look identical to yours. Mine are so dead that they don't even move anymore.

I think ALL feet are ugly. They keep us humble.

  2. It's funny because my feet have always been my favorite body part. Unfortunately I don't have photographic evidence to substantiate this. You'll just have to take my word for it.:)

  4. Okay I love this post so much that I read it 3 times 1 thru 7. I hope that is the effect it should of had. Look personally I think your feet are fine. I wish I could have seen your second photo, I am sure it can't be as bad as you say. If you wish to get rid of dead skin on the soles of your feet I can tell you what works and to keep them moisturized.

Mind you I have ugly feet that I dare not take a picture of and post. So maybe you shouldn't take my advice..heheheh But my dry skin has disappeared as I must do all that I can to keep the feet looking as decent as possible :-)

Don't worry about the hairs on the toe. Can you believe I had them too? My daddy is a mixup of Indian(very hairy) and some other things so he is the person I blame for that. However, the hair fell off one fine Winter when I lived in NY along with the hairs on my legs and never returned.

I am going to attempt a "100 things" later tonight. Good Luck to me

  5. Okay - Robin at Pensieve (one of the blogging chicks) recently wrote a post about feet too - and I'm going to say the same thing here that I did there...

My feet have permenant DIRT embedded in them from wearing sandals in the garden. Too ugly to even think about!

  6. Your little toes look exactly like mine and I have hairy big toes too. I think you have accidentally taken a picture of my feet instead. lol.
I also have this weird thing where the middle toe on each foot won't fully straighten. They grew bent at the joint. My mum has this too and was paranoid that it was cos of badly fitting shoes so was always careful about me having new shoes, then I got weird toes anyway!
I love your blog, even though I don't always comment when I mean too.
