Happy Thanksgiving

I'm thankful for my son Elliot.

He hasn't needed his baby walker for months now, he's a pretty talented walker on his own, but yesterday, he pulled it out of the corner and pushed it around for a little while. I didn't really notice at first, but then all of a sudden it hit me, that my son was walking backwards! My dad and N and I all burst into applause and he stopped for a cute smile and kept going. I'm thankful that Elliot is so happy and healthy and easygoing.

I'm thankful for N.

I feel very lucky that I have N in my life. He's a wonderful husband, loving and supportive. He puts up with a lot from me, and I wonder sometimes how he does it. He's very patient, understanding, and a wonderful father. He works hard to take care of us and does a great job. Thank you for sticking with me. I love you.

I'm thankful that I get to spend this holiday with my father.

We didn't always get along, and we've both done things to each other that we'd rather forget. But once things reached a certain point, you supported me, and I'll never forget that. I'll do my best to always remember our good moments together, and I'll hope you'll do the same. Thank you for travelling all this way to see me, and for bringing me Butterfingers.

I'm thankful that I have my health, that we have a nice home, and that there is love in this house. I'm thankful for our friends, old and new.
And in other news, I recieved an email yesterday from an old friend, and just wanted to say Congratulations Susanna! I'm so excited for you, and I hope you still read this blog occasionally to see this. I hope you and Devon will be very happy!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We'll be skipping the usual turkey (too large for three people, one of which doesn't like turkey) but instead having lemon and garlic roast chicken and I'll be making pumpkin pie!
