Hard
I've given up fizzy drinks and chocolates during the week. It's for a lot of reasons - mainly my health and losing weight. Partially because of the disastrous checkup I had with the dentist last week. But also I have this tendency to comfort eat. I eat chocolates and sweets when I'm feeling low. When I'm confused, or lonely, tired, irritable, in pain, when I don't fully understand what I'm feeling. I've been without chocolate or Coke for a week (weekdays only, I did have Coke on the weekend!) and yesterday was the first time I really wanted some Coke. And I got through it but it's just getting worse. But I'm going to stick with it. Wish me luck.

I am in the exact same boat. I eat to feel better -- then when the food doesn't help me feel better I eat MORE food!
ReplyDeleteI am going to try giving up those things on the weekdays and see if I can manage it better that way. (I'll keep you posted!)
Thanks for the comment! I am so glad you visited me. I am adding you to my fav's list right now! I luv your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat with the food and weight and soda. I am a Dr. Pepper fan. I like to snack on salty stuff more than sweet and then I bloat up like a floatation devise.
I think that your idea of no soda during the week is great! I am going to try it too.
I wish you the best! I'm a comfort eater, too. Ah. Aren't we all?

My diet has taken a drastic change for health reasons and I'm still learning to adjust. Caffeine and carbonized drinks are among what I've had to give up. It hasn't been too bad, but occasionally I feel a craving.
ReplyDeleteI do wish you luck!
