Music during mundane moments

I quite enjoying washing the dishes at the end of the day. When it comes to whether or not I want to clean the boys up after dinner and take them into the living room or wash the dinner dishes, I always opt for the dishes. I find it relaxing, doing something so incredibly mundane. After a rough day, when Littlest isn't sleeping, when Oldest is asking a million questions, when dinner turned out worse than I expected, when I haven't washed my hair and have baby sick over one shoulder, I use that time to just clear my head and sing along to the music. (Do other people do this?)

Every week or so, I change my playlist. I debated whether or not to continue mentioning my music choices, but I figure I'm not trying to impress anyone. I have never claimed to have more than a passing and superficial interest in music. I like what I like and even better if I can sing along. This week we have the soundtrack to Roswell, which included two of my favouritest ever songs (I Shall Believe by Sheryl Crow and Save Yourself by Sense Field) and Let Go by Avril Lavigne. What are you listening to?

  1. I definitely do that: while I vacuum or clean the bathroom.

Lately, it's been Led Zepplin and Katy Perry.

  2. Washing the dishes = godlike powers in a perfect world (just limited as to duration).

  3. Would you like to come to my house? I HATE dishes. In fact, I hate all kinds of housework in general.
