It's been a slow reading weekend. But I wasn't expecting anything else. I've been so exhausted lately for no reason (don't worry, I'm not pregnant) and keep falling asleep at stupid hours. Yesterday I made it until 9pm before passing out (whilst reading) who knows what excitement tonight will bring.
This week I finished Old School by Tobias Wolff (liked the first 100 pages a lot more than the second) and I am currently reading The Rotters Club by Jonathan Coe. I'm liking it so far, but I'm getting slightly confused by the huge number of characters and their parents and siblings and how they all fit together. That could just be the tiredness though.

ReplyDeleteI don't think it's the sequel. I'm not sure. Haven't read the book, but saw the film years ago.. and can't really remember it. I thought This Boy's Life was a memoir of Wolff's childhood? If so, this was not the sequel. It's about a boy in a boy's school who's writing stuff to win a competition to meet famous authors. It was good, for the most part.
