And I'm so thrilled, because this is the first time in about 9 months that I've remembered it! So please forgive my excitement, but I've got to share it! It was one of those dreams where I kept jumping from scene to scene:
It starts off, and I'm in our old Cherokee Jeep, it's me, my father and my brother and it feels like we're on one of our old family road trips from when I was 10, but there's no pillows or blankets or bags or the cooler filled with Dr Pepper in the car or anything, so it feels strange. It's really late at night and we're on a highway. There's signs up ahead which say the highway is splitting into two, and we've got to choose which exit to take. To the right, we'd be headed into France and the rest of Europe, and if we choose left, we'd be headed into Southeast Asia. The car goes towards the left, and as it does...
I'm now in an outdoor theater, like the one in Regent's Park that N and I went to once when it was showing A Midsummer Night's Dream, and N and Elliot are there, and we're surrounded by people. Shadowfalcon, and this guy we used to work with, David are there as well but they get lost in the crowd. And even though there isn't anyone or anything on stage, I know we're at the Cirque du Soleil, which I've always wanted to go to, and the best thing is, the tickets to the performance are free, unless you want to sit farther back, and I'm looking around at all these people and thinking 'wow, I've always wanted to see this' and I'm just about to turn around and tell that to N, when...
I'm in my bed, and Elliot's with me, and he's really close to the edge but I can't move quick enough to grab him, and he falls to the floor with a loud THUMP and...
That's when I wake up, with a start and heavy dread that Elliot is hurt, but he's fast asleep and perfectly fine. And so I go back to sleep and Elliot lets me sleep until 9:40am! (but only because he's getting over a cold)
whew!! glad elliot was ok, i have dreams like that and sometimes they're so real they haunt me all day. but glad you got to sleep!
