Goodbye September, Hello October

I can't believe it's already October. September was a terrible reading month for me, only three titles finished. I think it was a combination of illness both with the boys and myself, plus too many ambitious titles taken out of the library. There were many, many books started and very few finished. Here's the list though:

Books read in September:

1. East of Eden by John Steinbeck
2. Brick Lane by Monica Ali
3. My Best Friend's Girl by Dorothy Koomson

What will October bring? What are you reading?

  1. I am not even doing a monthly wrap up cause I think I read two books- if you could the one I'm about 4 pages from the end of and can't find the enthusiasm to finish!

Man I hope the rest of the year picks up, or I get more organized, or SOMETHING.

I read East of Eden a few years ago, LOVED it, ran out and bought Grapes of Wrath, and still it sits there. With the hundreds of other unread books in my house. Sitting there.

  2. I know! It's been a very slow few months, but I'm not optimistic that the next few months will get any better with all the holidays coming up.
I loved Grapes of Wrath, it was my favourite book through high school! But I believe every book has a timing to it that you need to get right..

  3. Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog. The black box thing was spot on with this match--we have very much the same taste in books. East of Eden is one of my ALL-TIME favorites. And you live in ENGLAND!! I'm so jealous!
