Guest Post: YA Boys I Will Always Love

This guest post is written by one of my favourite UK YA book bloggers, Lyndsey who co-edits the blog Heaven, Hell and Purgatory Book Reviews. She's very vocal in her love of Vance, so much so that I really must read the books! Thank you for this Lyndsey :) Over to you...

YA boys I will always love

When thinking about the guest post I wanted to write, this topic stood far out from the rest. I didn’t even really have to think about which guys I thought was the hottest in YA books. Although the boys I am going to talk about aren’t from any new books, they are personal favourites and ones I will never get bored of reading about. Give me a book with one of these guys in and I will be a very happy woman.

Vance Magnum (Of Witches and Warlocks - Lacey Weatherford)

Unfortunately, Vance Magnum is not well known enough in the UK as Lacey is only published in the US but she was so nice sending me copies of her first and second books to review. Once I picked up the first book, I was hooked and I read them both in one sitting. For those of you who don’t know, Matt Lanter of 90210 was the inspiration for Vance and I quite like having someone to picture whenever I read about him.

Vance is the high school bad boy, surrounded by mystery, and the leather jacket and impressive motorbike don’t do anything to help change this image that everyone has of him. The thing about Vance is that he is no where close to being who everyone thinks he is. He is so passionate and caring when it comes to Portia and would do anything for her, whenever she wanted it. He really wears his heart on his sleeve and isn’t afraid of what anybody else thinks. He loves Portia with all of his being and that is all there is to it. Then there is the fact that he is a warlock and he is smoking hot! I want a Vance Magnum for myself!

Alex Fuentes (Perfect Chemistry - Simone Elkeles)

I was quite a latecomer in regards to reading this book. When I read it, it seemed as if everyone had already and there was already a huge buzz about this character. I had no idea what I was in for with this book apart from hearing about people loving it so much. I certainly wasn’t ready for how hot Alex was.

Alex Fuentes is one of the hottest bad boy that I have ever read about. Mexican. Gang member. Tattooed. Seriously screwed up and wanting a better life. Did I mention that he's completely buff? No? Well he is. Really, what more could you ask for? Also, Alex mixes speaking English with Spanish and although I could only understand a few Spanish words, it made his dialogue extremely hot and steamy. I there is something incredibly sexy about the Spanish language. What got me about Alex (over the obvious hotness) was that he tried so hard to make everyone believe that he was someone to be afraid of, when that was so far from the truth. I loved that Alex wasn't perfect. I loved that his life was pretty much screwed. I dare you to try to resist him!

Thank you Lyndsey for bringing hot shirtless guys to my blog! It is very much appreciated! Is this what we should come to expect over at Heaven, Hell and Purgatory Book Reviews?! :)
