Memories

I don't know what it is about Oasis, maybe just their whole sound, but everytime I hear them, no matter what song it is, it always reminds me of the summer I was 16, and my dad sent me to this boot-camp type place where the people running it made us all do manual labour, mostly in the desert wearing hard helmets and a whole bunch of clothes. Was a lovely time for me - I was with a bunch of young offenders and problem teenagers, and there I was hacking away at the earth with this heavy hoe thing, and I ended up bent over for most of the day trying to avoid the scorpions and woke up in the morning with my hand bent into 'the claw.' It wasn't that terrible though, the people in my crew were all right, and everytime I hear Oasis, it reminds me of this one bus journey where we all didn't really know each other, but ended up singing really loudly to 'Champagne Supernova'

  2. I actually don't remember the rest of the summer, just that one month I was there.
